Man sagt ja vieles über den Ruhrpott und das wenigste ist schmeichelhaft. Aber ganz ehrlich, da gibt es viel zu sehen, zu hören und zu schmecken und erfahren! Mein Ruhrpotter Wochenende war fantabulös mit Glacé, einem leckeren Abendessen im Vapiano (wo wir übrigens in der Schlange hinter meinem ehemaligen Eiskunstlauf-Schwarm Alexei Yagudin standen *grins*), einem Entdeckungszug durch die Läden Düsseldorfs, Photoausstellungen von Michel Comte und Deanna Tempelton im NRW-Forum, Jazz ToDay mit Triband und Esperanza Spalding (!!!) im Konzerthaus Dortmund, Sushi, Drinks, Musik, Photos machen und schauen, wach bleiben, bis einem die Augen zufallen...

There's a lot being said about the Ruhrpott area in Germany and much of it is none too charming. However, there are very many interesting things to see, hear, taste and experience! My weekend trip was fantabulous with ice cream, a delicious dinner at Vapiano (where we waited in line behind my former figure skating crush Alexei Yagudin *ggg*), an exploration of Düsseldorf's shops, exhibitions of Michel Comte and Deanna Tempelton at the NRW-Forum, Jazz ToDay with Triband and Esperanza Spalding (so talented and beautiful!!!) at the Konzerthaus Dortmund, sushi, drinks, music, taking and watching photos, staying awake until your eyes simply shut close...
