Nächste Woche findet das DMY International Design Festival Berlin statt. Mit dabei auch Carrothead, ein deutscher Designer, mit Tischen, Hockern und Gestellen, die einfach und ohne Werkzeug zusammenstecken kann. Sehr praktisch - und gutaussehend... (die Möbel! *grins*)

Next week, the International Design Festival DMY takes place in Berlin. Among a lot of creative and talented people is also a young German designer, Carrothead, who shows his collection of tables, stools and shelves that can be assembled without any tools - very handy! Plus, they just look pretty damn good... *smiles*

Gewitter / Thunderstorms

Ich LIEBE Gewitter. Liebe die Intensität, die konzentrierte Dramatik mit schweren Regentropfen, Blitzen, Donnergrollen. Wie oft bin ich schon barfuss und klatschnass durch New York oder den Breitsch gerannt oder (als wir noch kleine Racker waren) mit meinem Bruder in den Unterhosen in einem wilden Regentanz durch die Gegend geflitzt... Gewitter klären die Luft und die Stimmung und lassen einen erleichtert und erfrischt zurück. Hier der Soundtrack dazu...

I LOVE thunderstorms. Love their intensity, how they unleash all their drama on such a brief point in time and space, the heavy raindrops, the flashes, the growling thunder... How often have I run home in New York or here in Bern with naked feet and wet to my bones feeling free and alive. And when my brother and I were little we used to dance in the rain in our underpants. Oh, what joy! ;P... Thunderstorms clear the air and whatever mood you're in and leave you relieved and refreshed. Here's the soundtrack to go with it...

Ich gebe es offen zu, ich arbeite lieber mit Männern zusammen als mit Frauen. Ob auf der Sportredaktion oder in der Kreation, Männer waren/sind - Klischees hin oder her - oft lockerer, direkter, relaxter. Man, dass heisst frau, fühlt sich viel weniger schnell angegriffen. Zumindest ich jedenfalls.

I have to admit I'd rather work with men than with women. Be it at the news paper or in the ad agency I worked, the men were/are - all clichés aside - often more relaxed, more direct and "fun" to be around. I've always felt less "attacked" with them... (now what does that say about me?! ;))
